Welcome to the Hull Garden Club website! Here you will find news of all that the Hull Garden Club has and will accomplish in the coming years.

Dear Ladies,

First, I would like to thank you for selecting me as your new President.   It is a great honor and I hope that I not only fulfill your expectations, but also exceed them. 

I like to look at this opportunity as you would approach a garden.  The garden is a composition of many different elements, which work together to create one beautiful entity.  The foundation, of course, is the soil which is the Club itself.  The perennials are the established backdrop of the garden which are the seasoned members of the club.  The annuals add a new perspective and brightness to an established garden, like the new and prospective club members bring.

We must avoid getting tangled in the weeds in the garden and keep our focus on creating a harmonious landscape.  Just as the plantings of the garden don’t always end up as we planned.  We must be open and learn to adapt to these changes.  Often, the results are better than were planned or expected.

With all these elements working in unison, my hope is that we can create a club that is vibrant, enthusiastic, progressive and creates a fun, beautiful, working environment for us all.  After all, gardening is a lot of hard work, but in the end it should be enjoyable and fun.  There is nothing more satisfying than gazing upon a beautiful garden that we all helped create.

I look forward to working with all of you, listening to all your expert advice, new ideas and count on your support in the 2011-2012 season.
